Kefalonia is the largest island in the Ionian Sea and sixth in size in Greece. It is located between the islands of Lefkada and Zakynthos and across the Corinthian Gulf. Argostoli is where a number of the most attractive Venetian attractions are situated (fanari, bridge of devosetou, lake of koutavos, central square, theatre, lithostroto, historical museum, kabana).
Visitors will also find plenty to see within the villages and resorts of Assos, Fiskardo and Sami, which each have something quite different to offer in the way of tourist attractions. - By plane : all year round there are airlines serving Kefalonia frequent direct flights from Athens with olympic-air, aegean and sky-express, lasting 45 minutes.
